After a 30+ year career in litigation, Bill Simmons is now a full time neutral serving the Bay Area and throughout California.

With a broad range of experience in civil rights, personal injury, employment, construction, real estate and business matters, Bill is able to effectively connect with parties and counsel to understand their positions and help them craft solutions that reflect not only litigation realities but the parties' broader goals.

Bill graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1980 and, after several seasons working at a ski area in Utah, graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1985.

Bill is a court mediation panel member for the United States District Court, Northern District, and served on the court's ADR Local Rules Advisory Committee from 2013-2015.  Bill also serves on the Contra Costa Superior Court mediation panel and as a volunteer mediator for the Alameda County Superior Court.
